H1 histamine receptor antagonist; competes for H1-receptor sites in target cells in the respiratory tract, blood vessels, and gastrointestinal tract.
Non-sedative second generation
| instructions | Adults (including older people): 10 mg once daily (one tablet once daily) Children over 12 years of age: 10 mg once daily (one tablet once daily) Children aged 2 to 12 years of age: Bodyweight over 30 kg: 10 mg once daily (one tablet once daily) Bodyweight 30 kg or below: Not recommended Children aged less than 2 years of age: Not recommended The tablet should be swallowed whole with a drink of water. It may be taken with or without food. Doses may be changed in special conditions so always follow your doctor's or pharmacist's instructions. If you take more than you should, talk to a doctor or go to the hospital straight away. If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember it unless it is nearly time for your next dose. Do not take a double dose (two doses at the same time) to make up for the forgotten dose. |
